How does Clinical Hypnotherapy treat Depression?

There is often a traumatic event or situation that leaves you feeling depressed, but it is not always the case, sometime life just piles up on you and before you even know it you are unable to cope as you have before.

Clinical Hypnotherapy helps you connect with your subconscious mind, to treat the “whole person” instead of just treating the symptoms of Depression. With hypnotherapy, we create long-term change, by addressing the traumatic experiences and stored emotions through the subconscious mind to release them from the mind and body. Leaving you ready to resume living normally again.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy

Research has shown the Clinical Hypnotherapy used in combination with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is more successful than CBT treatment alone for the treatment of Depression.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a structured psychological treatment which recognises that the way we think (cognition) and act (behaviour) affects the way we feel. CBT has always been regarded as one of the most effective treatments for depression, and has been found to be useful for a wide range of ages, including children, adolescents, adults.

CBT combined with Hypnotherapy (Cognitive Hypnotherapy) is a natural progression for Psychotherapy now combining it with the powerful benefits of Hypnotherapy.

Cognitive Hypnotherapy involves identifying the thought and behaviour patterns that are creating your feelings of depression, and assists you in creating new conscious and subconscious pathways to better manage and alleviate your depression.
